Floor Heating
Maintaining high ergonomic and thermal comfort standards in modern living and working environments is becoming increasingly challenging. When properly designed, installed and controlled, floor heating systems provide superior comfort while remaining among the most energy-efficient ambient heating solutions available today.
Floor heating operates by distributing heat evenly across the entire floor surface, creating a uniform thermal profile with minimal temperature stratification. This results in improved comfort, reduced heat losses and lower operating costs; provided the system is engineered and controlled correctly. Smart Age supplies complete floor-heating systems, including all hydraulic, electrical and control components, along with advanced wireless room-control platforms to ensure precise temperature regulation and optimal system performance.
Floor Heating Technologies
Floor heating systems can be implemented using two primary technologies: Hydronic (water-based) or Electric systems.
Hydronic Floor Heating Systems
Hydronic floor heating systems utilize dedicated piping installed beneath the floor finish, through which low-temperature water circulates to deliver heat to the space. One of the key efficiency advantages lies in the low operating water temperature, typically around 35°C, compared to conventional radiator systems that often require supply temperatures exceeding 70°C. This makes hydronic floor heating particularly suitable for integration with heat pumps, condensing boilers and solar thermal systems.
Hydronic systems offer high thermal inertia, stable comfort conditions and excellent energy efficiency for residential, commercial and large-scale applications.
Electric Floor Heating Systems
Electric floor heating systems use resistance heating cables or mats installed beneath the floor surface. Smart Age offers a complete range of electric heating solutions for both indoor and outdoor applications. Indoor systems are valued for their long maintenance-free lifespan, operational reliability and cost efficiency, especially in targeted comfort zones.
Outdoor electric floor heating is widely used for snow and ice melting applications on rooftops, parking areas, ramps, walkways and garage entrances, enhancing safety and accessibility in cold climates.
As a premium partner of Danfoss, Smart Age provides the full range of floor-heating components, including pipes, manifolds, mixing shunts, actuators, control cabinets and advanced room thermostats. All systems are designed to meet international standards for performance, safety and durability.
Smart Age delivers complete turnkey execution for both hydronic and electric floor-heating projects. Our scope covers system design, hydraulic and electrical planning, installation, screed application (standard and self-leveling), commissioning and final system startup; ensuring reliable operation and long-term performance.
