Boiler Control

Boiler Controls

Heating systems such as boilers must be able to communicate with both internal and external conditions in order to dynamically adjust their operating modes and maintain optimal energy delivery. This requires a central “manager” that continuously senses load demand and feeds the required commands to the primary heat-generation sources for execution.

Smart Age offers a range of programmable boiler controllers featuring extensive input and output capabilities, allowing designers to define multiple operating scenarios tailored to each heating system. These controllers enable simultaneous management of multiple heat sources, with the ability to prioritize, sequence and cascade their operation based on predefined logic. Typical control functions include valve opening and closing, flow regulation, mixing and diverting control, cascade operation and primary–auxiliary source management. When properly implemented, such intelligent control strategies can achieve energy savings of up to 20% compared to uncontrolled heating systems.
